Letter Regarding Advocates

I became an Advocate client around about September of last year. I had been hospitalized many times before this placement. The first person I met was Barbara. Barbara was my counselor. I liked her from the beginning. Anne is also in my house. She is very even keeled and gives very good advice. Joan was the last person who entered into the up and down place at xxx Street. Although I have trouble going to relief staff the solid staff during the day are very considerate, understanding and give excellent advice. Lynn was in contact with our house because this house was short handed before Joan came on board. We need to give credit who it should to. The people who are in advocates with all the obstacles, red tape and short handed with staff. For the most part the staff is always calm and doesn’t lose their patience even if they are short staff. I wish there was some way to help the staff in all of the cluster with the piles of paper work they deal with. Life of a mental health workers are hard and their hours are long. Despite the hard work, short staff and long hours these people are dedicated to their job.
